Resuming September 3rd | Thursdays at 4pm Pacific
incarno
a weekly gathering space for coming home to your body, yourself, and God.
Resuming September 3rd, we’ll continue gathering every Thursday at 4pm Pacific on Zoom for 75 minutes to deepen our capacity for presence, connection, and feeling fully alive.
I’m very honored and humbled to continue offering Incarno. This has become a holy and precious time of the week for many of us. So this fall we’re opening up a few spaces for new members to join us. If you’re curious, let’s talk. Or secure your spot by registering.
What is Incarno?
Incarno is designed for the person who is scared but ready to fully feel.
To feel more alive, more free, and more capable.
Together, we practice using tension, sensation, breath, movement, prayer, and relationship to build a safer sanctuary within ourselves for relaxation, self-discovery, and deeper connection with ourselves, others, and God.
Our gatherings are informed by mindfulness, interpersonal neurobiology, and an embodied approach to Internal Family Systems, all held within an intentionally Catholic and incarnational understanding of the human person.
This can be especially supportive for people learning to relate differently to anxiety, dissociation, compulsive patterns, people-pleasing, shame, or the lingering effects of difficult experiences.
You do not need to be good at any of this.
You just need some willingness to show up, notice, and practice with us.
The Incarno Membership
Incarno is a membership into a community of like-hearted Catholics and Christians who are committed to exploring deeper connection together on the cushion and mat.
Membership includes:
Weekly 75-minute live Incarno gatherings on Zoom
Access to the growing Incarno worksheet archive
Access to the library of 12 recorded embodied practices
One 30-minute individual consultation with me
An intimate community of like-hearted Catholics that is growing
Your membership remains as long as you like. And while you’re free to cancel at any time, I ask members to approach Incarno as a twelve-week commitment at minimum. Part of what makes the space meaningful is returning to the same people and practices week after week. That builds trust. Trust in our bodies. And in ourselves. And in the other group members.
If, however, the commitment is the thing holding you back, though, please reach out. We can talk about it and see what we can do.
The Incarno Membership fee is structured on a tiered system, with the option for scholarships upon request and written agreement with the facilitator. Fill out the registration form to get started.
The Incarno Routine
While every group session offers a different focus, they all offer a similar rhythm that provides a balance of fluidity and structure to contain what the group brings in during a given week. This allows for safety and trust in our bodies and each other to develop as we can lean on the small assurance of a routine while also holding flexibility for the unfolding process of the group that day.
Every incarno session begins with us returning again to the group, to our cushion and mat, and to how we are doing in this present moment at the beginning.
The ReturnThere is often a short reflection, concept, or prayer that we gather around to anchor our process work on the mat before we begin practicing.
The ReflectionThis is the portion of the session where we focus on our internal process of tension, sensation, and emotion. As we do so we practice meditation and movement with our breath and somatic postures in order to facilitate this process work safety and capacity for discomfort.
The PracticeWe close each session with a time to support our relational process work, digesting what came up during the session and exploring practical steps for application into the following week.
The GatheringSo that is our weekly routine at glance.
The Incarno Anchors
Together we move through a progression of various thematic anchors that provide a focus for our gathering and process work. Each anchor partly determines which practices and techniques will facilitate our group work together. From this anchor we branch into and weave in whatever the group is processing through on both a collective and personal level. Below are some of the themes we’ve anchored our group in.
Safe arrival
Feeling safe enough to feel
Up regulation out of collapse
Accepting where we are: settling protective parts
Staying with experience without overwhelm
Softening hypervgilance
Falling upwards: trust in the discomfort
Opening the heart more
Being held by The Father
Being nourish by The Mother
Resting in the bed of the boat
Strength without control
Becoming His hands and feet
Moved by the Spirit
We are one body
Making room within the temple
Dwelling in the depths
This is my body given for you
full transparency
Incarno is a non-clinical personal-growth group, not psychotherapy.
We are not diagnosing or treating mental-health conditions here, and this is not a space for processing or treating trauma. Instead, Incarno offers practices, skill-building, prayer, and community that can meaningfully complement the deeper healing work you may already be doing elsewhere, including in therapy.
Keeping Incarno non-clinical also allows me to open the space to people across the country who are drawn to this kind of incarnational work while maintaining clear ethical and professional boundaries.
Still not sure about this whole thing?
Let’s sit down and talk.
You can schedule a brief conversation with me if you’d like some clarity about whether Incarno is a good fit.
Or, if you already know you’re ready
I’d be glad to have you with us.
